Bob and Lauryn Hill’s Turn Your Lights Down Low certified silver

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The remastered version of Bob Marley’s Turn Your Lights Down Low which features Lauryn Hill, released in 1999, was today certified silver in the United Kingdom by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for sales and streaming exceeding 200,000 units.

Featured on the gold-certified Chant Down Babylon remix album, and produced by Stephen Marley, Turn Your Lights Down Low was a moderate hit stateside. However, it made its way onto several charts in Europe hitting #15 in the UK, #1 in New Zealand and Romania and #49 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The song was previously certified gold in Sweden and France, and platinum in New Zealand.

The original version of Turn Your Lights Down Low, was featured on the 1977 album Exodus.
