Johnmark Wiggan enlists H.U.M.B.L.E. for Confidence remix

A remix gospel singer Johnmark Wiggan’s 2024 release Confidence is on its way.

The remix, which will feature gospel group H.U.MB.L.E, will be produced by Wiggan.

On Monday, February 3 Wiggan and the six members of HUMBLE gathered in a music room at Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts where they decided to have fun singing for the Lord.

One thing led to another and there was an on-the-spot rendition of
Confidence with the group members adding their own personal touch to it.

“What you saw on social media was a video of a song rehearsal. I love what the members of H.U.MB.L.E do and what they offer to music and to ministry. As we continued to cross paths more and more, I wondered what we could do,” Wiggan told the Jamaica Observer on Friday.

A video of the rehearsal was uploaded to Instagram and TikTok on Tuesday February 11, which generated a huge buzz with fans calling for the official collaboration to take place.

Wiggan and the members of H.U.MB.L.E are scheduled to head into the studios within the next week to commence work on the remix.

“We really can’t wait to get into the studio. This song is a strong message for men to send. It’s about finding our confidence and being a male-heavy thing was very important to show men standing together for the kingdom,” Wiggan shared.

Chevaughn Walker, a member of H.U.MB.L.E (the other members are Errol Martin, Daniel Davis, Aaron Cummings, Julan Walker, and Albert Walker) explained how the collaboration with Wiggan came about.

“We’ve been brothers in the gospel music space for a little while now, and we’ve always been inspired by the gift God has deposited on Johnmark. It was during a conversation we were having with Johnmark that he mentioned the idea of us doing a cover for the chorus. We were so excited; we decided to do the whole song,” Walker said. “The energy was electric! We were in a small room and knew we had to make the space work. A few bloopers and belly full of laughter later, we knew we had it!

H.U.MB.L.E released its début album Decalogue: The Heartwork in late 2023. Last October, the group won the award for Group of the Year at the Sterling Gospel Music Awards.

Wiggan’s début album Validation won the Sterling Gospel Music Award last year for Album of the Year. The singer said he is already working on his sophomore album.

“Yes I am working on my next album. I am not certain that it will be coming out this year, because I want to launch it at the right time,” he disclosed.

He cited DaJourney Productions and Garth Sinnette from Trinidad and Tobago among the producers with whom he will be collaborating.
