Beenie Man rejects assault claims, threatens legal action
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Recording artiste Beenie Man is rubbishing recent allegations that he assaulted another artiste, describing them as false, malicious and defamatory.
The artiste, whose given name is Moses Davis, said in a statement on Tuesday, that he had retained legal counsel and is working on compiling evidence to show the claims are false.
“We hereby demand the immediate removal of all posts, videos, stories, and other publications asserting or repeating these claims, together with a full public retraction and apology,” the statement noted.
Davis’s statement indicated that should these demands not be complied with promptly “proceedings for defamation, damages, injunctive relief, and any other relief available at law” could be pursued.
