KINGSTON, Jamaica —Mark Gordon, the attorney charged in connection with a multi-million dollar real estate fraud, was granted bail in the sum of $400,000 when he appeared in the criminal division of the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday.

Gordon is scheduled to return to court on June 2 when outstanding bank statements and a missing document report are expected to be presented to the court.

He faces multiple charges, including forgery, conspiracy to defraud, engaging in a transaction involving criminal property, and demanding property using forged documents.

These charges stem from allegations that Gordon submitted fraudulent documents to the National Land Agency (NLA) to facilitate the transfer of two properties in Ironshore, Montego Bay, valued at $18 million, to a buyer.

Gordon is accused of collecting funds for the properties. However, the alleged property owner has denied hiring Gordon to handle the transaction.

As part of his bail conditions, Gordon is required to report to the Constant Spring police station every Monday and Thursday between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.

A fingerprint order was also issued.
