Fontana expands into luxury beauty with Orá

Fontana Limited promises to redefine the beauty retail landscape in Jamaica with the launch of Orá, a luxury beauty concept designed to bring a curated selection of high-end skincare, makeup, and fragrance brands to local consumers.

Orá represents Fontana’s strategic expansion into the premium beauty segment, aligning with the company’s vision of enhancing the retail experience and meeting the growing demand for luxury beauty products, the company said in a release.

“We recognise the evolving preferences of our customers and the increasing demand for globally renowned beauty brands,” said Anne Chang, CEO of Fontana Limited. “Orá allows us to create a more immersive and elevated shopping experience, reinforcing Fontana’s commitment to innovation and excellence in retail.”

Orá will feature a carefully selected portfolio of international beauty brands, including Armani, Ralph Lauren, Lancôme, Prada, Viktor & Rolf, Hermès, and Loewe. Some of these brands will be debuting in Jamaica through Orá, offering beauty enthusiasts access to premium products that were previously unavailable locally, the company said.

The first two Orá locations will launch in April 2025, with a dedicated beauty space within Fontana Waterloo and a standalone store adjacent to Fontana Fairview in Montego Bay. According to the release, these stores will provide customers with a boutique-style experience, including personalised beauty consultations, exclusive product launches, and tailored in-store services such as skincare and makeup tutorials.

Orá’s integration within the FontanaPharmacy.com eCommerce platform will also ensure that customers can conveniently shop for luxury beauty products online, the company said.

“This expansion into luxury beauty is a natural evolution for Fontana,” Chang added. “Orá strengthens our position in the market, introduces new high-value categories, and enhances our overall brand equity. It’s an investment in the future of beauty retail in Jamaica.”
