It has been four years since reggae singer Jesse Royal released a full body of work. The Modern-Day Judas artiste is set to release his third studio album in a matter of months.

In an interview with Observer Online at the Guinness St Patrick’s Day celebrations which was held on Sunday at Clubhouse Brewery and Tap Room at 152 Constant Spring Road, Jesse Royal shared details about the project.

“Yes, I am currently working on my third studio album, which is the follow up to my second album Royal, which was nominated for a Grammy. We are planning to release it sometime in late June or July. The title is yet to be decided, but we have already released a couple of tracks from it including Hope, featuring my brother Romain Virgo, a Johnnie Walker Ambassador, and Blessing, featuring my brother Johan Marley. We are also preparing to release a song called Light of Mine, one of my favourites on the project, which is set to drop on the 28th of March,” Jesse Royal said.

At the Guinness St Patrick’s Day Celebration, the singer delivered a workmanlike performance, where he had patrons grooving to his repertoire of songs.

“Performing at the Guinness St Patrick’s Day Celebration means a great deal to me. Guinness has always championed culture, not just at the grassroots level but on a much larger scale as well. More than that, they genuinely care about Jamaica in a meaningful way. So, whenever Guinness calls, we show up because they have always been there for us, and we make sure to be there for them,” said Jesse Royal, who shared that it was his first time performing at the annual event.

“The experience was wonderful. It was amazing to see so many people connecting and enjoying the vibes. The smiles were infectious, and you could tell everyone was there with one goal in mind—to have a great time. Being in that atmosphere, surrounded by light, joy, and the warmth of people’s hearts, made it a truly memorable experience for me,” he added.

On April 19, Jesse Royal will host the High Life Festival at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

“Next up is the High Life Festival. I have travelled the world, gained a wealth of experience, met fascinating people, and encountered some incredible ideas. It is all part of the journey — learning from what is out there and bringing it back to Jamaica so we can present reggae music the way it truly deserves to be.

“We want to create experiences that restore people’s faith in reggae and remind them of its deep significance to Jamaica. So, join us at the High Life Festival.
