MANCHESTER, Jamaica – A new networking initiative, Beyond the Handshake, set to launch in Manchester, will seek to redefine the way professionals connect and collaborate.

Described as a premium networking brand, the initiative “goes beyond superficial introductions to foster meaningful relationships, mentorship opportunities, and career growth,” the creators say.

With a membership model, Beyond the Handshake says it will provide in-person and online experiences, including quarterly networking mixers, industry-led discussions, and mentorship programs. The initiative also aims to bridge the professional opportunity gap between rural and urban areas.

“Beyond the handshake is conceptualised to revolutionise the corporate space in central Jamaica. We hope to create the space entrepreneurs and professionals long for, bringing sector leaders in one room. We hope to create the space & economy where they can grow and thrive getting the best returns on networking,” said Mario Mitchell, founder of the brand.

The first official networking event, themed “The Currency of Connections: Elevating Your Network Game,” is scheduled for March 21, at the Manchester Club starting at 6:00pm.

Mitchell says attendees will gain insights from industry leaders, participate in engaging networking exercises, and connect with potential mentors and business partners.

Beyond the Handshake is inviting professionals, entrepreneurs, and corporate partners to be a part of the movement to strengthen Manchester’s professional business ecosystem.
