#Champs2025: Hydel’s Bernard secures back-to-back high jump gold
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Hydel High’s Zavien Bernard won her second high jump medal in successive years after she took the Class Two title on Saturday’s final session of the 115th ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium.
Bernard, who won in Class Three last year and who was second in the Class Two long jump and seventh in the triple jump Open, cleared 1.70m to take the high jump gold.
Kijonna Lee of Vere Technical took the silver medal with 1.65m and Malia Housen of Mt Alvernia High was third in 1.60m.
