Buff Bay records second murder for 2025 as Portland murders climb to 6
PORTLAND, Jamaica — The town of Buff Bay, which recorded the first murder in Portland for 2025 on January 31, recorded its second on Monday, March 31, bringing the parish’s murder total to six so far this year.
Observer Online understands that a man who was recently released from lockup was walking along Russell Avenue in the vicinity of Buff Bay Primary when he was gunned down around eight o’clock.
He was reportedly shot in his upper body from a moving vehicle.
The last four murders in the parish also involved the use of a gun.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, police conducted a gun and cash raid at a petrol station in the community.
