Frazsiers Whip bid for win number six in JWPL
The Frazsiers Whip FC train of wins is expected to continue when they take on WiFi United at Carder Park in the Jamaica Women’s Premier League.
Frazsiers Whip FC have been on a tear and are going after a sixth-straight win when they face fifth-placed WiFi United who are coming off back-to-back victories while conceding only a single goal.
Also this afternoon, second-placed Cavalier are to play away to Springers United at Jarrett Park; Los Perfectos and Arnett Gardens will clash at Brooks Park; Proven Girls are to face Mile Gully at York Oval; and Federal United are set to host Real MoBay AFC at Prison Oval.
Frazsiers Whip have been scoring at a high rate with 34 goals, with Davia Richards leading the way with 13 so far.
WiFi United will hope playing at home will give them an advantage as they seek to slow down Frazsiers Whip’s momentum. But WiFi have scored just nine goals in their four games, five of those coming in one game against Springers United.
Two points separate third-placed Los Perfectos FC on nine points and fourth-placed Arnett Gardens on seven points. Arnett Gardens have played one game fewer, but a win today would see them switch places.
Arnett Gardens are coming off a big 7-0 win over Proven Girls last weekend, while Los Perfectos FC lost 0-1 to Cavalier.
Cavalier will start favourites despite playing away to Springers United who earned their first point last weekend with a 1-1 result against Real MoBay AFC in the St James derby.
Cavalier SC have the second best defensive record with only four goals conceded. They face Springers United who have conceded 17 goals from their four games. Springers have only scored two goals.
Proven Girls and Mile Gully FC will be seeking their first win when they meet at York Sports Complex.
Proven Girls have conceded 23 goals, the most in the competition. They will hope to get the better of Mile Gully who have scored just five goals.
