Grand Slam Track: Dos Santos takes 400m hurdles, Clarke second
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Brazilian Alison Dos Santos powered to a world leading 47.61 seconds in the men’s 400m Hurdles (Long Hurdles) event at Grand Slam Track at the National Stadium on Friday.
Dos Santos, a two-time Olympic bronze medal winner in his pet event, stamped his class on a field that also included Jamaican prodigy Roshawn Clarke, an Olympic finalist.
Clarke clocked 48.20 seconds for second place with Caleb Dean taking third place in 48.58.
The athletes will again be in action on Sunday in the 400m.
