Three Jamaicans down the track in Women’s Short Sprint at Grand Slam Meet

Jefferson-Wooden who won the 100m finished with a maximum 24 points and US$100,000.

Jenna Prandini who was a late replacement, challenged Jefferson-Wooden all the way and was second in the 200m in 23.56. She finished second overall with 16 points and will pocket US$50,000 while Jacious Sears completed the sweep for the Americans, finishing with 12 points.

Kemba Nelson was the best of the three Jamaicans, finishing fourth overall with nine points, the same as Britain’s Daryll Neita. Nelson was fourth in the 200m in 23.84 to Neita’s 23.89 and will collect US$30,000 (J$4.7m).

The promising Alana Reid who was sixth in 24.02, finished sixth overall with six points while Jodean Williams was seventh overall with three points.
