With the release of his first song on March 19, Jahdeed Rawbawn realised a lifelong dream. He co-produced that song, Adjustment, with Jordan Lowe.

The South Florida-based artiste, who has a degree in mechanical engineering, told Observer Online that there is a special thrill knowing your first song is out.

“It’s a very good feeling. One of those feelings you cannot duplicate. At the same it was like a happy-sad moment based on personal issues. But the fact that knowing finally my voice had been heard and it made people happy left me overwhelmed. I’m very grateful,” said Jahdeed Rawbawn.

Adjustment is strongly inspired by global conflict which the singer follows through network news and social media.

“We see what’s going on in Europe with the wars, we also see what’s going on in the Middle East and also in Asia. So, writing this song was there to be said, it’s everywhere,” he noted.

Jahdeed Rawbawn was born Howard Sherman in St Elizabeth. After graduating from St Elizabeth Technical High School, he moved to Kingston to attend the University of Technology where he earned his degree.

Migrating to the United States, he maintained an interest in music, by following trends there and in Jamaica. After writing Adjustment, the next step was recording the song in his home studio,

Jahdeed Rawbawn points to Desmond, Dekker, Hopeton Lewis, Peter Tosh, Johnny Osbourne and Leroy Gibbons among his biggest influences.
