WATCH: Titchfield High celebrates School Challenge Quiz win
PORTLAND, Jamaica— Businesses stalled in Port Antonio Monday morning as people lined the streets to celebrate alongside Titchfield High School in its championship triumph in the TVJ (Television Jamaica) School Challenge Quiz 2025 competition.
Titchfield, who defeated Jamaica College (JC) in the final last week, had its trophy decked out with the school colours — blue and yellow — during a motorcade.
The school’s marching band stood at the head of a parade of students and teachers who were cheered on by residents and commuters.
Titchfield won the final match by a razor thin margin of 26 to JC’s 23, marking their second time winning the title.
Carrying banners declaring themselves the ‘Stars of the East’, students were joined by their cadets and cheerleaders, both in their respective garb.
The students marched from the school into the town and will return to the school.
