Carnival make-up is one of our faves to feature, because there are literally no rules. The season is always the perfect time for women of all complexions to defy rigid beauty standards and embrace brighter-than usual colours on the lids, cheeks, and lips.

It is also time for make-up artists to let their inner artist reign without reservation. As Jamaica Carnival 2025 approaches, Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD) flashes back to a standout look created by Jamaican make-up artist Brittany Miller for reveller Shadae Henry. The look — sunset eyes, luminous flawless base, complemented by fiery lips — was executed at the Carnival Glam Hub in Trinidad.

Shadae has been a Glam Hub client-turned-friend for the past four years, booking with us for Barbados, Miami (more than once!), and countless Jamaica Carnivals — because, of course, she’s Jamaican.

This was her first Trinidad Carnival, and she fully embraced the West Indian energy. Her make-up and costume were in perfect harmony, and we love a client who’s willing to explore and stay on theme! Not to mention, her photos were on fire!!
