PennRelays2025: Three Jamaican schools into boys’ 4x800m finals, JC crash out

Three Jamaican institutions have qualified for Friday’s high school boys’ 4x800m Championships of Americas finals after Thursday’s first round heats at the 129th Penn Relays Carnival being held at Franklin Field, Philadelphia.

Edwin Allen High along with former champions Kingston College and Calabar High advanced, but defending champions Jamaica College failed to make it into the top 12 qualifiers.

Edwin Allen finished third in their heat with 7:49.99 minutes; Kingston College won their heat in 7:50.06 minutes; while Calabar High were fourth in their heat in 7:50.76 minutes.

Jamaica College were 14th overall in 7:51.20 minutes while Holmwood Technical, 7:56.64 minutes, also failed to make progress.
