Noel Maitland jury selection completed, murder trial expected to start Tuesday
The jury in the murder trial of police constable Noel Maitland has been finalised and opening statements are expected to start Tuesday afternoon at the Supreme Court in Kingston.
Maitland is implicated in the 2022 killing of his girlfriend, social media influencer Donna-Lee Donaldson.
Jury selection in the case was completed on Tuesday morning, and the trial is expected to get underway at 2pm.
Social media influencer Donna-Lee Donaldson has not yet been found and is presumed dead.
Donaldson was last seen in Maitland’s company on July 11, 2022 at his Chelsea Manor apartment in New Kingston.
She was reported missing on July 13 last year. According to the police, they found a wealth of circumstantial evidence to convince them that Donaldson was dead and that she was killed on July 12, 2022 between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
