Bellefield Health Centre in Manchester temporarily closed for upgrades and repairs
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — The Bellefield Health Centre in Manchester will be temporarily closed for repairs and upgrades, effective Monday, May 19, for a period of six weeks.
The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA) said that during this closure, similar services can be accessed at the Bombay and Porus Health Centres in the parish. The opening hours for these health centres are Mondays to Thursdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and on Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The management team of the Manchester Health Department, which administers the health centre, extended its apologies to clients for any inconvenience which may be caused. For concerns or queries, clients can call 876-797-5954/876-797-0685.
Below are the services provided at the health centres, along with the respective days:
Bombay Health Centre:
Child health — First, second and third Wednesday;
Postnatal — Fourth Wednesday;
Antenatal — First, third and fourth Monday;
Family planning — First, second, third, and fourth Friday;
Non-surgical dressing — Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and
Papsmear — Second Friday.
Porus Health Centre
Surgical dressing — Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and
Curative (doctor) — Second Thursday.
