Tasha T looks forward to UK return

The last time Tasha T performed in the United Kingdom, it was in 2016 to promote her album, Real Talk. She returns there for two shows, including City Splash on May 26.

City Splash takes place at Brockwell Park in Brixton, a South London community with strong West Indian links. Popcaan, Tarrus Riley, Spice and Valiant are also scheduled to perform at the event.

The Canadian roots singer, whose parents are Jamaican, is looking forward to her UK return.

“This is very important because the UK is the gateway to reggae music. I see this tour as an opportunity to bring my message to a wider audience of authentic roots-reggae lovers,” Tasha T told Observer Online. “I believe that the message in my music is keeping up with the traditions of reggae music that evokes positivity and good vibration. Therefore, I’m excited to connect with the European fans.”

Mothers Of Creation, Put It On, Give I Strength and The World Is Troubled (a collaboration with Jay Douglas) are some of Tasha T’s recent songs. She is also down to perform in Lewisham, southeast London, on June 1 alongside Glen Washington and Patrick Junior.

Tasha T, who has been nominated twice for Juno Awards in Canada, has released two albums. Her self-titled set came out in 2005, followed nine years later by Real Talk.
