Major Danger: The one to beat in Labour Day Trophy feature

The $1.25-million Labour Day Trophy promises to be an exhilarating contest, featuring 11 talented horses vying for the top spot in the Overnight Allowance category.

Let’s take a closer look at each contender’s form and prospects.

1. FINAL LOAD (USA): (5 b g by The Big Beast – Load Up) – Final Load has shown promise, but a win in this race might be a stretch. While he’s capable, the competition is fierce, and it might not be his day.

2. WHIZZ KIDD: (5 b h by Northern Giant – Mayken Joy) – Whizz Kidd’s chances look slim in this competitive field. Given his current form, it’s unlikely he’ll be able to keep up with the pace.

3. FURTHER AND BEYOND: (7 ch h by Blue Pepsi Lodge – Rumble) – This seasoned performer occasionally flashes brilliance; expect a solid effort here. Further and Beyond has the talent, but consistency has been an issue: Will he deliver today?

4. MPRS LINKS: (5 b m by Admiral Alex – Brewedtoperfection) – Unfortunately, MPRS Links doesn’t seem to have what it takes to win this one.

5. IMMEASURABLE JOY: (4 b f by War Correspondent – Moon Over Mallorca) – Fresh from a win, but repeating won’t be easy. Immeasurable Joy’s recent success might give him a psychological boost, but the competition is tough.

6. SISTREN TREASURE (USA): (5 b m by Brethern – Katira) – After a commendable third-place finish last time out, Sistren Treasure could deliver another strong performance. With consistent form, she’s a horse to watch.

7. MAJOR DANGER (USA): (5 b h by Majestic City – Clean Eleven) – Despite a fourth-place finish last time behind Mahogany over 5 ½ furlongs (11,00m), Major Danger’s trainer has done an excellent job preparing him for this distance; a win is likely. If everything clicks, Major Danger could be unstoppable.

8. BLUE VINYL: (6 ch h by Bern Identity – Blufield) – Blue Vinyl’s bravery and class make him a contender; he could upset the favourite. His recent third-place finish showcases his potential — keep an eye on him.

9. FEARLESS FORCE (USA): (4 dk b/br f by Anchor Down – A Merry Song) – Fearless Force won last time out, but repeating that feat won’t be straightforward.

10. STOMP THE RHYTHM: (6 b g by Savoy Stomp – River Rhythm) – Stomp the Rhythm doesn’t seem to have the firepower to make an impact here.

11. INTRESTNTIMESAHEAD: (4 b c by Bold Conquest – My Friend Lucy) – Has not done anything since his Jamaica St Leger win in July of last year. However, Intrestntimesahead has been working well coming into this race and could run surprisingly well.
