Knockpatrick residents protest fatal shooting by police
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Placard-bearing residents of Lucky Street and Pitter Lane in Knockpatrick, Manchester, on Tuesday morning blocked a section of the Knockpatrick main road in protest over the fatal shooting of Moses Morgan last Wednesday by the police.
Moses, otherwise called “Osah”, was fatally shot by the police during an alleged confrontation inside his house.

However, residents have doubled down on challenging police claims and questioned whether Morgan was killed in the presence of his son.
“We want justice,” a group of women chanted.
“They killed my cousin cold-blooded and said they find gun pon him and dem nuh find nuh gun. Just because dem thief him goat and him leave and go a Mandeville fi go do him little hustling and the police dem come and see him. Carry him a him yard, inna him house and kill him and say a shoot out,” a woman in the midst of the protest claimed.
“A justice we want. Him did have the right and dem kill him. We want justice and a we block the road. Now the police come and say him ago kill me cousin and make him lie down a Lyn’s like Osah,” she added.
“They need to come and tell we why they killed the youth. Him innocent,” another resident claimed.
