Phillip Williams appointed head coach of Arnett Gardens
Phillip Williams has taken over as head coach of Arnett Gardens following the departure of Xavier Gilbert to Montego Bay United.
Williams was the assistant coach to Jerome Waite at fierce rivals Tivoli Gardens. Waite himself is an Arnett Gardens’ legend, having led them to three Premier League titles.
The relatively young Williams is an Autocad Technical Drawing teacher at St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) where he doubles as their Manning Cup head coach with great success.
A promising coach at the premier league level, Williams joined Tivoli Gardens in 2019 and spent three years there before going to Portmore United, then Dunbeholden FC and returned as assistant coach at Tivoli Gardens last season.
