Esco stays Prayed Up
Dancehall recording artiste Esco Da Shocker is showcasing his versatility with his new single Prayed Up produced by Lando Genius Records.
The uplifting effort highlights the importance of keeping close to God through prayer because the world is full of evil and negative energy.
Prayed Up was recently released commercially and has gradually been attracting attention on social media.
“You haffi stay prayed up because there are evil people out there. And even though you can defend yourself in the physical, sometimes spiritual defences and protection is required. You don’t have to be the most religious person to recognise the power of prayer and this is what Prayed Up is about,” Esco shared
This is not the first time Esco has teamed up with Lando Genius Records musically, last year they fused dancehall and disco with the
Disco Meets Dancehall project.
“Just waking up is a blessing that we sometimes take for granted, and so it was a pleasure being a part of such an uplifting project. It’s different from the usual Esco songs like his Tuck In Yuh Belly monster hit and other high-energy singles, but the content will definitely connect with most dancehall fans,” Lando Genius explained.
The official music video will tell the full story of the track and was shot in Kingston and St Andrew. Directed by Now a Now Productions, the visuals will be released this summer.
Lando Genius Records is also working on additional projects, including singles with Shawn Storm, and is aiming to release these in coming months.
