National Trials 2025: Ricketts wins seventh consecutive triple jump title
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Olympic Games and World Championships medalist Shanieka Ricketts won a seventh consecutive triple jump title Saturday at the JAAA National Senior Championships at the National Stadium.
Ricketts won with a fifth round jump of 14.52m (-0.3m/s), coming from behind after Ackelia Smith took the lead in the first round with a season’s best 14.44m (1.3m/s).
Smith, who had won the women’s long jump on Thursday’s opening day, took only two jumps.
Thirty-six year old Kimberly Williams was third with a season’s best 13.80m (-2.5m/s).
