National Trials 2025: Sanjay Seymore leads boys U20 200m qualifiers

KINGSTON, Jamaica – William Knibb Memorial’s Sanjay Seymore leads the qualifiers for the Under-20 boys 200m final on Sunday after running 21.22 seconds (-2.4m/s) in Saturday’s semi-finals of the JAAA National Junior Championships at the National Stadium.

Junior Gallimore of Calabar High is the second fastest qualifier with 21.41 seconds (-3.1m/s) with Cornwall College’s Zachary Cox next with 21.45 seconds (-1.3m/s). Johan-Ramaldo Smythe who also advanced with 21.64 seconds.

St Elizabeth Technical’s Sawayne Kerr, 21.81 seconds, and Antonio Powell, 21.52 seconds, also made progress.

Camperdown High’s Deequan Maragh led the qualifying in the boys Under-18 with 21.46 seconds (-2.3m/s), ahead of Kingston College’s Kyle Bodden, 21.59 seconds (-0.7m/s), and Nishawn Walker, 21.84 seconds (0.1m/s).

Jaydon Collins of Holmwood Technical, who was third in Friday’s 100m, also advanced with 22.10 seconds (-2.3m/s).
