70 dishes, cultural showcase, live entertainment for Little Ochie Seafood Carnival
Agent Sasco, Jamal, Areakode to lead line-up of artistes
The next Little Ochie Seafood Carnival is set for Sunday, July 13, 2025 and aims to transform the idyllic fishing village of Alligator Pond into a vibrant, all-day celebration of Jamaican seafood, culture, and community.
The carnival promises a sunup-to-sundown extravaganza filled with mouth-watering dishes, pulsating music, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
Gates open at 10:00 am.
“This year’s seafood carnival is all about celebrating the ocean’s bounty and the joy of seafood!” said Ika Christian, manager of Little Ochie and daughter of founder Evrol “Blackie” Christian. “We’ll have a variety of delicious seafood dishes, refreshing ocean-inspired drinks, and fun and activities for the whole family to enjoy.”
Christian continued: “We’re also introducing new elements like a seafood-cooking competition, interactive, ocean-themed games for kids, and an increased focus on sustainability with eco-friendly seafood options and reduced waste.”
Guests can enjoy seafood cook-offs, boat races, dancing contests, and even an eating competition.
When the sun sets, the tempo rises with live performances from guest artistes Agent Sasco and Jamal, turning the event into a night-long party under the stars.
“Cultural performances and music will honour the legacy of Alligator Pond and other coastal communities,” Christian added.
Tickets are available in three categories: Tier 1 – VIP Experience; Tier 2 – Premium Access; Tier 3 – General Admission.
“Our seafood carnival has created so many unforgettable moments over the years,” Christian shared. “One that stands out is a 106-year-old woman who had it on her bucket list. Seeing her enjoy the music and food was a moment we’ll never forget… It’s all about fun, flavour, and unforgettable memories. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, this year’s Seafood Carnival will be something truly special.”
