Renaldo Entertainment scores with Jamal’s ABC

KINGSTON, Jamaica— Twenty-one-year-old Renaldo Alcott, better known in music circles as Renaldo Entertainment, is quite upbeat about his latest music production, ABC, a song recorded by red-hot dancehall artiste Jamal.

ABC was #12 on local YouTube Trending for Music as of Wednesday.

“The collaboration with Jamal came about after a friend of mine linked Jamal’s management team in February. The song was recorded in May, and we just put it out, and it’s been gaining so much traction, said Renaldo, who made his production debut in 2022.

“I was always around music, my grandmother and my aunt sang in the church, and my father used to keep parties and events. He even managed Teejay at one point, so just being around music was what inspired me to get into music production,” he told Observer Online on Wednesday.

The Westmoreland native, who attended the Manning’s School, said that after he completed high school, he was determined to make his mark in music, having been inspired by the likes of Dave Kelly and Sly and Robbie.

To date, he has worked with several established as well as emerging newcomers.

“Jamal is a natural hitmaker, and it was a pleasure to work with him on this track. Real know real suh di energy did connect easily, and everything just flowed from there. Right now, the song is trending on all platforms as expected,” Renaldo disclosed.

Ai Milly, Shaqstar and Onemotion are just a few of the acts he has produced tracks for.

“I don’t just want to be a regular producer, I want to be a legend in the game like Dave Kelly, Sly and Robbie and dem big name deh wheh set it fi we as young producer. I want to become the benchmark for the new generation, which is why I am working so hard,” said Renaldo.
