WATCH: Terrelonge honoured to be nominated for a third time
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidate for St Catherine East Central, Alando Terrelonge says he is honoured to be nominated to represent the constituency for a third time.
Following his nomination on Monday, Terrelonge, while speaking at the Cedar Manor community centre in Gregory Park, highlighted some of his achievements in the constituency.
He mentioned education programmes, infrastructure development programmes, social wellfare programmes and security programme.
When asked about the alleged closing down of a community centre in the area, Terrelonge sternly described the claims as untrue, noting that “no member of parliament has the power to close down a community centre.”
Terrelonge also used the opportunity to slam the opposition representative for the constituency, Raymond Pryce, who he referred to as a “ political reject who is treating Portmore like some recycled trash after being kicked out of St Elizabeth.”
Terrelonge stated that during the 36 years that the opposition held the seat they did “absolutely nothing.”
In terms of the outcome for the general election, Terelonge predicts that he will win by “ 2,800, 3,000” votes.
He encouraged Jamaican to come out and vote and not to “gamble with the prosperity” they are experiencing now.”
