UPDATE: Police recapture last escapee from Constant Spring lock-up

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are reporting that they have now apprehended the ninth prisoner who escaped from the Constant Spring lock-up Tuesday morning.

Nineteen-year-old Alunzo Espute, of Cassava Piece, Kingston, who is charged with murder, was the only fugitive yet to be apprehended.

All nine escapees are said to be back in police custody.

Police say the nine men managed to cut through a grille and a metal door and escape from the lock-up early Tuesday morning. The other escapees were swiftly rounded up by police.
