WATCH: Driver dies after car crash and shooting incident in Mandeville

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man is dead following a series of events including a shooting and a two-vehicle crash on Caledonia Road in Mandeville on Tuesday morning.

His identity has not yet been ascertained.

Preliminary reports are that about 7:30 am loud explosions were heard on lower Caledonia Road moments after a Toyota Corolla crashed into the back of a Toyota Prado near the entrance of BMull Auto.

The driver of the Corolla was seen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

He was taken to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives are on the scene trying to determine how the incident unfolded.
