‘Car dealer’ accused of fraud in two cases

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 35-year-old businessman has been charged with alleged non-delivery of goods in two motor vehicle transactions.

Charged with fraudulent conversion and non-delivery of goods and services on contracted date is  Nickolas Morgan, of Abbeville Avenue, Kingston 20.

The charges are reportedly in relation to online transactions in two separate incidents over a four-month period.

Police report that in the first incident, between March 31 and August 27, 2025, a man made a deposit of $2.56 million on a 2015 BMW 428 motor car to be delivered to him on June 15.

However, after making the payment, no vehicle was delivered, and the money that was paid was not refunded. A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched.

Reportedly, in the second incident, Morgan received a deposit of $2.65 million from a man as a deposit on a 2020 Nissan Skyline Hybrid motor car to be delivered between mid-August and the first week of  September of the same year.

The man then made a second deposit of $750,000. However, it is alleged that since making the payments, no vehicle was delivered, nor were the monies refunded.

A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched. During the investigation, Morgan was arrested.

He was charged on Saturday, September 20, for both incidents.

His court date has not been finalised.
