JAMAICAN race car driver Tommi Gore says despite a challenging final round of the ADAC GT4 Germany season, he’s pleased with his overall showing this year.

Gore and Israeli teammate Alon Gabbay, driving a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport car this season, closed out their campaign in front of 102,000 spectators at Hockenheimring in Hockenheim, Germany, at the weekend.

“This was a solid weekend and a great way to close out a great season,” Gore said. “I am so proud of the progress we made from the start of the year to the finish.”

Gore and Gabbay did not get the qualifying session they wanted to start the weekend, as it was disrupted by rainfall.

“We had some work to do going into the races, and that we did,” Gore said. “A P12 [position 12] finish didn’t show the full story that occurred on track. After gaining six positions in my stint, Alon went out in the top 10. He then encountered a braking issue, dropping him back to P19 after going off track. He eventually came home in P12, landing some valuable points.”

They knew a better performance in the next race was necessary.

“For race two we knew we wanted a strong finish for the season,” Gore said. “Alon handed the car over to me in P6 and immediately out of the pits I was hit with a five-second penalty, compounded by a shortened stint as a result of a nasty crash earlier in the race. I fought my way back from P7 to bring us home in P4 — a strong finish to the season.”

Gore describes the 2025 season as “truly one to remember”, and this is because they had three podium finishes; were named team champions; finished eighth overall, seventh in their class; and had two front-row starts from qualifying.

Gore says he’s still considering his approach to next season.

“We have many options on the table — from continuing for another year in the ADAC GT4 Germany to competing at the next level of GT3 racing in Europe,” he said. “What a year it has been! Thanks to all my sponsors and supporters for being a part of it.”
