‘Sugar daddy’ charged with killing lover and her family in Pennsylvania
Authorities have charged a 61-year-old man after he allegedly murdered his lover, her husband, and their one-year-old son in Berks County, Pennsylvania.
He is Jose Luis Rodriguez.
Rodriguez allegedly killed 31-year-old Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo; her husband 33-year-old Junior Cabrera-Colon, and their one-year-old son, Jeydon, after Peguero-Mancebo refused to leave her marriage but continued to accept money from him.
According to prosecutors, Rodriguez first picked up Peguero-Mancebo while she was holding her baby, then shot her in the back of the head before throwing the child face-down into a nearby pond, where he drowned.
Police say Rodriguez later met with Cabrera-Colon and shot him execution-style, leaving his body in a separate location nearby.
The victims’ bodies were discovered days apart in Ontelaunee Township, just outside Reading.
Authorities said Rodriguez eventually admitted to parts of the crime, telling investigators he was “angry” that Peguero-Mancebo stayed with her husband despite their relationship.
According to ABC 6, the couple shared three other children, ages eight to 13.
Berks County District Attorney’s Office officials described the killings as “heinous and calculated,” adding that while Rodriguez had a violent criminal history, this crime was “by far the most disturbing act” they have encountered, particularly the murder of the innocent child.
Rodriguez remains in custody and is facing charges for one homicide, according ABB 6.
