Temporary relocation of select ITA centralised services
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Island Traffic Authority (ITA) is advising the public that several of its services have been temporarily relocated due to damage sustained to sections of its 145 Maxfield Avenue offices rin Hurricane Melissa.
The agency said vehicle engravement and forensics, customs verification, post-shipment inspection, certification of driving instructors and driving schools, application for the certification of government drivers, removal of endorsements on driver’s licences, and retrieval of driver’s licences previously suspended and disqualified services are now being offered at the Island Traffic Authority’s Head Office, located at 6–8 Grenada Way, New Kingston.
Meanwhile, the following services will continue to be offered at 145 Maxfield Avenue: processing of substitute driver’s licences, application and processing of driving abstracts, and processing of name change on driver’s licences.
The ITA says it remains committed to minimising disruption and ensuring the continued delivery of services to the motoring public. Customers are encouraged to visit the relevant location based on the service required.
The Authority apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the public’s patience and understanding during this transition period.
For more information, the public can contact the ITA via email at info@ita.gov.jm or through its official social media pages.
