Man killed, woman injured in Bull Bay domestic dispute

ST ANDREW, Jamaica – A man was shot dead and a woman injured during a domestic dispute at Jackvale district in 11 Miles, Bull Bay, St Andrew, on Thursday.

The dead man has been identified as 28-year-old Ronaldo Fray, a truck driver from the district. The woman has been hospitalised.

Police are searching for a man said to be Fray’s sister’s ex-boyfriend in connection with the incident.

Reports reaching Observer Online indicate that around 8:30 pm, the suspect went to Fray’s home to visit his ex-girlfriend. He enquired about her whereabouts but did not receive a favourable answer.

Multiple gunshots were then heard inside the yard. After the firing ended, residents found Fray with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The now-injured woman was found on the verandah of a nearby premises with what appears to be gunshot wounds to all four limbs. Both were transported to hospital, where doctors pronounced Fray dead. The woman was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police investigations have so far discovered that Fray’s sister and the man were previously involved in a relationship and share a child. The ex-boyfriend had been trying to get back into a relationship with her, but she has refused on several occasions.
