BCIC announces leadership appointments

KINGSTON, Jamaica — British Caribbean Insurance Company (BCIC) has announced key leadership appointments and organisational alignment initiatives that took effect on January 1, 2026, as part of what the company says is its continued focus on operational excellence, customer experience, and sustainable growth.

Michelle Anderson has been appointed deputy managing director, bringing more than a decade of leadership experience within BCIC, having served most recently as chief operating officer, the company said in a press release.

According to BCIC, Anderson’s career with the company includes senior roles in insurance solutions and operations, where she has demonstrated strong execution capability and deep institutional knowledge. In her new role, she will provide strategic oversight across underwriting, operations, revenue performance, and service delivery.

BCIC also announced an expanded leadership role for Lori-Ann Glasgow, who will assume responsibility for the company’s Direct Channel, including branch operations and call centre operations, while continuing to lead the marketing function.

“This integrated approach is designed to strengthen alignment across customer engagement, communications, and direct sales, supporting improved customer experience and revenue growth,” the company stated.

Glasgow has played a central role in strengthening BCIC’s brand and enhancing customer engagement, with recent initiatives contributing to improved service standards and communication effectiveness across the organisation, the release stated,

In the meantime, Joy Gibson was appointed regional human resources manager, reflecting an expanded mandate across the amalgamated JNGI and BCIC businesses. In this role, Gibson will provide leadership for human resources, facilities, and operational support, while also assuming regional responsibility for Barbados. Her expanded portfolio is designed to strengthen organisational alignment, people capability, and operational consistency across the combined enterprise, supporting the company’s focus on effective integration and sustainable performance.

As part of its 2026 organisational alignment, Anne McMorris Cover will lead BCIC’s transformation agenda. This includes digital transformation, systems modernisation, service improvement and innovation initiatives, ensuring the company realises tangible value from ongoing investments, the company said.

“These leadership appointments reflect the strength of our internal talent and our commitment to building a future-ready organisation,” said Peter Levy, Managing Director of BCIC. “They position BCIC to deliver consistent service, disciplined execution, and long-term value for our customers and stakeholders.”
