Five schools seek back-to-back double in rural junior football

Five schools will be seeking back-to-back double wins when the ISSA Rural Area junior football competition continues.

Cornwall College, Browns Town High, Bellefield High and Manchester High had won both their opening Under 14 and Under 16 games when the competition started earlier this week and will be going after another clean sweep.

The competitions are usually played in the Christmas term, but were rescheduled after the passage of Hurricane Melissa at the end of October.

Cornwall College, which had scored 8-0 wins in both games against Maldon High on Tuesday, will face St James High in both games at Jarrett Park.

St James High had drawn both games against Herbert Morrison Technical a day earlier.

Browns Town High, who had beaten Aboukir High also on Tuesday, will take on Ferncourt High, Bellefield High faces Alphansus Davis, while Manchester High takes on DeCarteret College.
