Bail extended for call centre worker accused of stealing colleague’s bank card
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Bail has been extended for a St James call centre worker who has been charged with simple larceny following the disappearance and alleged use of a colleague’s bank card and cash.
Natasha Pearson appeared in the St James Parish Court last Wednesday before Judge Natiesha Fairclough-Hylton, represented by attorney Chrishana Fregenette.
The incident reportedly occurred on December 7, 2025, when the complainant left her bank card in her locker. The next morning, she discovered that cash and her debit card were missing. Alarmingly, e-mails from her bank revealed two approved transactions that evening — one at a Montego Bay food court at 7:26 pm and another at a wholesale meat shop.
The complainant immediately reported the matter to the police and her bank, securing a replacement card and deactivating the missing one.
Video footage allegedly showed Pearson as the person who had removed the card from the complainant’s bag.
The court was told that both the bank statements and video evidence were still pending.
Judge Fairclough-Hylton scheduled the next mention for February 11 and extended Pearson’s bail.
