ST MARY, Jamaica – WiFi United and Grays Inn SC will both be seeking to maintain their winning starts in the Jamaica Football Championships when they meet in a Zone A match at Grays Inn Sports Complex, starting at 3:30pm.

The two were among five teams that won their opening games last weekend, the others being Tru-Juice, Lime Hall Academy and St Bess United.

Newcomer to the competition, WiFi United of Portland beat last season’s semi-finalists Meadforest FC 3-0 to make their winning start, while St Mary’s Grays Inn SC had a similar 3-0 win over Baptist Alliance.

Lime Hall will also be chasing back-to-back wins in Zone A and will be away to Portland’s Progressive FC who will be making their first appearance this season after sitting out last weekend’s schedule.

St Bess United were the only winners in Zone B last weekend and will face new boys Roaring River at Llandilo in Sunday’s lone game.

Roaring River had earned a point from Reno FC on their debut in a Westmoreland derby.

Reno FC will travel to Effortville Community Centre to face Humble Lion FC in what used to be a Premier League match-up.

Humble Lion were relegated from the Premier League last season and like Reno FC will be seeking their first Championship win this season after drawing against Duncans United last weekend.

Falmouth United, who just missed out on promotion to the Premier League last season, losing on penalty kicks to Spanish Town Police FC in the semi-final, will hope to get their first win when they travel to face Petersfield at Llandilo after playing out a 2-2 draw against STETHS Elite last week.

Petersfield FC were beaten last weekend and will hope to avoid back-to-back losses to start the season.

Holland PYC of St Elizabeth will make their debut this season when they host Duncans United who were unlucky not to win their opener last weekend.
