Public Advisory: Fraudulent Website Alert

Jamaica Observer Limited is advising the public of an unauthorised and deceptive website that is unlawfully using our name, logo, and other brand elements to imitate our official platform and mislead individuals.

We are aware that a fabricated article is being circulated on social media claiming to originate from the Jamaica Observer.

The article references the estate of Jimmy Cliff and an investment firm, and it improperly uses the image and likeness of Jason Chambers, Chief Investment Officer at Cornerstone Group along with a false quotation, purporting to create the appearance of an endorsement or affiliation with the investment firm or product described in the article. No such article was published by the Jamaica Observer, and no such association exists.

These claims are entirely false. The website and related social media posts are fraudulent and have no connection to the Jamaica Observer. Such platforms may attempt to collect personal information, solicit payments, or otherwise misrepresent our services. We urge the public to remain vigilant and ensure they are engaging only with our legitimate channels.

How to Protect Yourself

• Access our official website only: https://www.jamaicaobserver.com/
• Follow our verified social media accounts: https://www.instagram.com/jamaicaobserver/; https://x.com/JamaicaObserver; https://www.youtube.com/@JamaicaObserverJa
• Be cautious of pages or profiles requesting personal information, payments, or unusual engagement
• Report suspicious websites or accounts to the relevant platform and notify us at abuse@jamaicaobserver.com

Jamaica Observer takes the misuse of our brand and intellectual property seriously. We are actively collaborating with the appropriate authorities and digital platforms to remove these fraudulent pages and safeguard the public.

Your trust and safety remain our highest priority.
