KINGSTON, Jamaica—Olympic silver medallist Kishane Thompson was one of a plethora of Jamaican winners at the Miramar Invitational Meet in Florida on Saturday.

Thompson sped to a meet record 14.92 seconds (1.3 m/s) to win the 150m, holding off Tapiwanashe Makarawu of Zimbabwe, who was second in 14.96 seconds.
Jamaica’s Adrian Kerr was third with 15.21.

Tia Clayton chased and caught Brianna Williams on the line in the women’s 150m, clocking 16.87 seconds (1.4 m/s).

It was a good return to form for Williams, who split the Clayton twins and was second in 16.92 seconds. Tina Clayton finished third in 17.00.

Ackeem Blake carried his indoor form outdoors and captured the men’s 100m in a wind-aided 9.84 seconds (2.2 m/s). American teenager Tate Taylor was second in 9.95 with Jamaica’s Rohan Watson third in 9.99.

Lavanya Williams won the Women’s 100m in a wind-aided 10.99 seconds, edging out Liranyi Alonso of the Dominican Republic in 11.00 seconds.

Jamaica’s Jodean Williams was third in 11.09. Lavanya had won her heat in 10.98 seconds, which was also wind-aided.

Jamaica’s Kerrica Hill ran 12.81 twice in the heat and the final to capture the Women’ 100m hurdles ahead of Alexandra Webster of the USA in 12.86 seconds. Jamaica Demisha Roswell was third with 12.94.

Jamaica’s Dejour Russell was fourth in the Men’s 110 hurdles clocking 13.45 seconds with Lafranz Campbell down in sixth with 13.67 seconds. The event was won by American Jamal Britt in 13.07 seconds.

Jamaica also won the Mixed 4×100 Relay in 41.24 seconds ahead of the All Star team in 41.79 seconds. Barbados were third in 42.69 seconds.

Shericka Jackson was second in her 300m heat in 36.51 seconds and third overall behind winner Sade Williams of Barbados in 36.23 seconds. Kenondra Davis of the USA was second in 36.44 seconds having won heat two.
