St Catherine woman charged with property fraud
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica—A St Catherine woman has been charged with obtaining money by means of false pretence after allegedly fleecing $1,400,000 from a woman between January 2025 and April 17 for the sale of a property.
She has been identified as 25-year-old Jeanell Warren of Spanish Town, St Catherine.
Reports from the Spanish Town Police indicate that Warren allegedly collected a sum of $1,400,000 from a woman for the purported sale of a property. However, after the payments were made, it was discovered that Warren was neither the owner of the land nor was the property available for sale.
The matter was reported to the police, and Warren was subsequently arrested and later charged following an interview with investigators.
Her court date is currently being arranged.
