Firearm and ammunition seizure in Kingston West

KINGSTON, Jamaica—A firearm along with several rounds of ammunition was seized by lawmen during an operation on Charles Street in Denham Town, Kingston 4, on Tuesday, April 21.

Reports from the Denham Town police are that about 8:15 am, a police team carried out a targeted operation in the area. A search was reportedly conducted at a premises which yielded one Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol, an M16 magazine, and ninety-five 9mm rounds of ammunition concealed in plastic bags in an open area on the premises.

No arrests have been made in connection with the seizure.

Investigations are ongoing.
