JC will be the lone Jamaican team in Penn Relays 4x800m final
PHILADELPHIA, United States — Three time winners Jamaica College will be the lone Jamaican team in the high school boys’ 4x800m Championships of Americas final at the 130th Penn Relays Carnival on Saturday after leading the qualifying on Friday.
The team of Rasheed Pryce, Carlos Brison Caines, Sekani Brown and Shemar Green ran 7:43.56 minutes to win their heat and will hope to win their second title in three years after winning in 2024.
Kingston College were 14th overall with 7:51.88 minutes, Alphansus Davis was 22nd with 7:55.07 minutes and St Elizabeth Technical was 24th overall with 7:55.43 minutes.
Edwin Allen ran 7:59.32 minutes, Calabar High ran 8:01.42 minutes and Bellefield High ran 8:26.67 minutes.
