450 set to appear at Barbados Reggae Weekend finale after missing Saturday show — promoters
Dancehall artiste 450 is set to perform at Sunday night’s “Reggae in the Gardens” show, closing out Barbados Reggae Weekend, promoters have confirmed.
The artiste had previously pulled out of Saturday night’s “Showdown” event, citing promoter issues on social media.
“To our fans and supporters in Barbados, 450 will not be attending or performing at Barbados Reggae Weekend tonight (Saturday) due to issues arising from the promoter’s inefficiencies and failure to meet key obligations,” a statement shared to the artiste’s Instagram had read.
“We apologise to everyone who was looking forward to the performance and appreciate your understanding and continued support,” it added.
Shortly after, the organisers of Barbados Reggae Weekend had issued a statement demanding a refund of what was paid to the entertainer. That statement has since been deleted.
Later, during Saturday’s event, promoters shared a voice note from 450, saying he was on his way to Barbados and would grace the stage on Sunday. The artiste also apologised for what he described as a “misunderstanding”.
Also performing Sunday are Dexta Daps and international R&B star Fantasia, among others.
