Traffic signal at Dunrobin Avenue / Lindsay Crescent down after crash
The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising the public to exercise caution in the vicinity of the Dunrobin Avenue/Lindsay Crescent intersection in St Andrew as the traffic signal is currently out of service.
The outage is as a result of a motor vehicle crash on Sunday which caused damage to the traffic signal controller and associated cables, the NWA said.
The agency said it has since mobilised to replace the damaged parts and will begin testing of the infrastructure on Monday, adding that repairs to the damaged cables are underway.
The repairs are scheduled to be completed by Tuesday afternoon, at which time the traffic signals will be recommissioned.
The NWA is reminding motorists that no one has the right of way at the intersection where the signal is inoperative, and all motorists should proceed only when it is safe to do so.
