Thrilling polo, exquisite dining, gorgeous guests and top-tier libations. Sagicor Investments delivered it all at “A Night Under the Stars” on Saturday, April 25. Held at the Kingston Polo Club, the event featured an enthralling match between Jamaica and Argentina set against a garden bistro ambience curated by Krafted by Design, Sparkles Productions, and Ingrid Peralto.

Guests were transported to the heart of Argentina complete with tantalising fare from award-winning Argentine Asador Chef César Daniel Robalo and Tooksies Jamaica principal Alexa Von Strolley. The menu was a tribute to the art of the grill: Think succulent skirt steak, smoked ribeye, and flap steak, all prepared in traditional asado style. The experience was complemented by pours from Select Brands alongside cocktails created with Worthy Park Estate rums.

Beyond the haute experience, the event supported a vital cause: Aiding Hurricane Melissa recovery efforts through the restoration of the Kilmarnock Primary and Infant School and Black River Primary School in St Elizabeth and the Adelphi Primary School in St James.

No Argentine experience is complete without the tango, and the quartet of Argentine tango dancers Alejandra Hobert, Adrian Veredice, Armando Orzuza, and Nuria Martinez-Mendez did not disappoint — enthralling patrons with their passion and precision. The excitement moved from the dance floor to the pitch as Team Jamaica’s James Robertson, Luke Clarke, and Freddie Farquharson squared off against Argentina’s Mariano Uranga, Mohamed Julien Ndao, and Ivan Rubinich. After a brilliantly contested game, the home side triumphed with a decisive 12-9 victory.

The celebration then shifted to the dance floor as DJ Ismael Garcia, who jetted in from Ibiza, spun a high-energy set of house music, ensuring guests were in party mode long after the final chukker.
