Richie Spice continues global mission

Reggae singer Richie Spice is embracing what he describes as a rewarding start to 2026, balancing a steady touring schedule with a continued push to create music that uplifts and inspires.

The artiste shared that the year has already seen him gracing multiple stages locally while maintaining a strong presence overseas, reinforcing his long-standing commitment to carrying Jamaican music beyond its borders.

For Richie Spice, the road remains essential. He underscored the role of live performances in amplifying Jamaica’s cultural footprint.

“We never stop touring because that’s how we send this music of ours global. Jamaica is a world brand and music is a big part of that brand so we have to keep spreading it throughout the earth,” he told the Jamaica Observer in a recent interview.

Even with a demanding tour schedule, the singer has remained consistent in the studio, releasing singles while working on larger projects.

Fans, he says, can expect more of the signature sound that has defined his career — music rooted in consciousness and positive energy.

“I’ve been putting out singles while working on projects and just keeping the music going so you can just expect some more tunes, good vibes, conscious lyrics that give a good vibration, soothe the people dem soul and make dem happy,” he explained.

But beyond the music, Richie Spice also used the moment to reflect on the state of the world, expressing concern over the growing climate of unrest and human suffering. He noted that joy has increasingly been overshadowed by pain, and used his voice to call for peace on a global scale.

“We’re paying attention to everything because it’s all happening right before our eyes, but I just want to tell all the governments involved to cease fire and preserve the world,” he charged.
