Policewoman injured as service vehicle overturned
ST JAMES, Jamaica — A policewoman, reportedly assigned to the Hanover Police division, was injured after the service vehicle she was travelling in overturned on the Long Hill main road Wednesday afternoon.
Reports are that the female cop and another male officer were travelling in the service vehicle along the roadway when the vehicle overturned.
It is alleged that the tire blew out on the vehicle causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle subsequently climbed an embankment and overturned.
The female cop received a chop to the forehead and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The other cop was reportedly taken to hospital for medical examination.
The vehicle was then removed from the scene by a wrecker but not before causing a major traffic pileup on the heavily used roadway.
