IShowSpeed arrives in Jamaica for Caribbean tour
KINGSTON, Jamaica — American streamer IShowSpeed has arrived in Jamaica as part of his ongoing Caribbean tour.
The viral internet personality, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr, is known for his high-energy livestreams and massive online following across platforms including YouTube and Twitch.
Jamaicans have been abuzz on social media awaiting the arrival of the streamer, who has over 50 million subscribers on YouTube.
As part of the Caribbean leg of his tour, Speed has already visited countries including Trinidad and Tobago, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, bringing his energetic broadcasts directly to local streets and fans.
The tour follows his previous global runs through Africa, Europe and Latin America, where he attracted millions of viewers worldwide.
He was welcomed at the Norman Manley International Airport by Junkanoo dancers and stopped to have a brief dance with them before being ushered away.
